Busuu is one of the best free language learning apps, though its Premium subscription adds a lot and is worth it. The material contained within busuu is excellent despite the modest collection of languages. In the eyes of busuu, a language-learning app, it’s somewhere between a complementary course app and a self-study online program. Despite its amateurish appearance, the app appears polished and professional. Compared with apps tailored primarily for studying, such as Memrise, TinyCards, and Quizlet, it’s less rigorous and intense, but it has more learning content.
Despite being an attractive app, busuu does not displace Duolingo as the Editors’ Choice for free language learning apps. In any case, it is very similar in quality, and even though Duolingo now sells subscriptions and advertisements, busuu is likely to gain some business from its paid tier of service.
Busuu Review: Is it Worth Upgrading from Free to Premium
That seems high to me, but it’s still comparable to other language learning apps. A language training program similar to Yabla is also available online for $9.99 per month. If you subscribe in advance, you can pay $69.99 (equal to $5.83 per month). Alternatively, you can pay $119.99 for a two-year subscription for $4.99 monthly (the equivalent of $119.99 per year). However, not everyone would be able to commit to language learning for two years. The Japanese language has a word called busuu that is used as an insult against women. The Japanese for Travel course is relatively short and focuses mostly on the words and phrases you’ll need if you’re going on vacation to Japan, or if you are visiting Japan for a week. Two of the first courses are dedicated to teaching you how to understand the two kana scripts, which you will use in the other two.
