Japanese Meaning of 文法 (bunpou) | JLPT N4

Meaning: The Japanese word “文法” (bunpou) translates to “grammar” in English. It refers to the rules and structures that govern the formation of sentences in the Japanese language.

  1. 文法を勉強するのは、私です。 I am the one that studies grammar.  
  2. ここでサラと文法を勉強します。 I study grammar with Sara here.  
  3. 今日は英語の文法を勉強します。 I’ll study English grammar today.  
  4. 私の嫌いな勉強は文法じゃない。 The study that I dislike is not grammar.  
  5. 私は文法の勉強をするのが好き。 I like studying grammar. [grammar study]  
  6. この文法を覚えなくちゃいけない。 I must memorize this grammar.  
  7. 私は文法を勉強するのが上手です。 I’m good at studying grammar.  
  8. この文法の説明はよく分かりません。 I don’t really understand the explanation of this grammar.  
  9. フランス語の文法に苦戦しています。 I’m struggling with French grammar.  
  10. 漢字より、文法の方が勉強をしたい。 I want to study grammar more than kanji.  
  11. もっと文法を勉強しなくちゃいけない。 I must study more grammar.
