Japanese Meaning of 両親 (ryoushin) | JLPT N5

Japanese Vocabulary: 両親 (ryoushin)

Meaning:  “both parents” or “parents.” 

It is made up of the characters for “both” (両) and “parent” (親).

  1. 両親を尊敬している。 I respect my parents.  
  2. 両親を食事に招いた。 I invited my parents for a meal.  
  3. 明日両親に会います。 I’ll meet my parents tomorrow.  
  4. 両親ともに元気ですよ。 They’re doing fine.  
  5. 両親に彼女を紹介した。 I introduced my girlfriend to my parents.  
  6. 両親は秋田県にいます。 My parents are in Akita Prefecture.  
  7. 彼女を両親に紹介した。 I introduced my girlfriend to my parents.  
  8. 両親の言葉を思い出した。 I remembered the words of my parents.  
  9. 両親は農業を営んでいる。 My parents are engaged in agriculture.  
  10. 兄は両親と同居している。 My elder brother lives with our parents.
