JLPT N2 Kanji: 印 (in, shirushi) Meaning – mark; symbol

Japanese Vocabulary: 印 (in, shirushi)

Meaning:  mark; symbol

Examples

  1. トーフグは元気印だ。 Tofugu is known for being genki.  
  2. 年賀状を印刷したの。 I printed New Year’s cards.  
  3. 友情の印に杯を交わそう Cups are exchanged as a sign of friendship.  
  4. 日本の印象は如何ですか。 What are your impressions of Japan?  
  5. それは印象的な光景だった。 It was an impressive view.  
  6. 彼から良い印象を受けたわ。 I got a good impression from him.  
  7. ここに認印を押してください。 Please put your personal seal here.  
  8. 会社のマークを箱に印刷した。 The company’s trademark is printed on the box.  
  9. 矢印にそって歩いてください。 Please follow the arrow.  
  10. 私の家は赤い屋根が目印です。 My house has a red roof that’s easy to spot.  
  11. 26カ国がその協定に調印した。 26 countries signed the agreement.
