さらに (sara ni)” is a Japanese adverb that means “further” or “in addition. It is often used to indicate that something is happening to an even greater degree than before, or that there is an additional action or event taking place

  1. 事態は、さらに悪化した。 The situation has gotten even worse.  
  2. 混んだ道は、運転するのがさらに難しくなる。 Crowded streets make it more difficult to drive.  
  3. ゴールデンガーデンズ公園に到着して、さらに感動! We arrived at Golden Gardens Park, and I was even more impressed!  
  4. 窓の外には、さらに違う世界が広がっているようだった。 Outside the window, it seemed that a yet different world extended out.  
  5. 草原の向こうには、さらに高い山々が壮大に立っていた。 Beyond the plains, even taller (“further tall”) mountains stood majestically.  
  6. 太平洋からの寒気が日本に到達し、気温はさらに下がるでしょう。  
  7. 色々な種類の音楽があり、さらにたくさんのサブジャンルがある。 There are many types of music, and many more subgenres.  
  8. そして、振り落とされないように、さらにしっかりとしがみついた。 And, so not to be shaken off, I clung on even more tightly.  
  9. さらに、フランスのTGVは時速300から320キロも出すんだよ。 Further, France’s TVG goes (“puts out”) 300 to 320 kilometers per hour.
