The particle “koso” (こそ) is used to emphasize the preceding noun or verb. It can be translated to “indeed” or “truly” in English.

  4. このレストランこそ美味しいと言われている。 (This restaurant is indeed said to be delicious.)
  5. 彼こそが私たちの新しいリーダーだ。 (He is truly our new leader.)
  6. これこそが答えだ。 (This is truly the answer.)
  7. あの人こそが私たちを助けてくれた。 (That person is the one who truly helped us.)
  8. この仕事こそが私がしたいと思っている。 (This is the job I truly want to do.)
