Japanese Vocabulary: おきに

Meaning:

おきに (okini) is a particle in Japanese that is used to express frequency or regularity. It is often translated as “every” or “per.”

Examples

  1.  一時間おきに電車があります。 There’s a train every hour.  
  2.  データを30分おきに保存してください。 Please save your data every 30 minutes.  
  3. 1時間おきにダウンタウン行きの電車が来ます。 There’s a train to the city every hour.
  4. おきに 週末に スキーに いく I go skiing every weekend.
