The phrase “があります” is a polite way of saying “there is/are” in Japanese.
It is formed by combining the verb “ある” (to exist) and the polite auxiliary verb “ます” . The particle “が” is used to indicate the subject of the sentence, which is the noun being described as existing.

Examples:
