Japanese grammar is an essential part of learning the Japanese language.
It is the set of rules that govern the way words are combined to form sentences in the Japanese language. Japanese grammar is known for its complex system of particles, which are small words that are added to the end of nouns or verbs to indicate the grammatical function of the word in the sentence.
In this post, We will talk about JLPT N5 Grammar: ので
JLPT N5 Grammar: ので (node)
ので is a conjunction in Japanese that is used to give a reason or explain why something is the case. It is similar in meaning to “because” in English. It is commonly used in the following way:
X ので Y
Where X is the reason and Y is the result. For example:
天気が悪いので、外に出かけません。
(The weather is bad, so I won’t go out.)
In this example, the reason (X) is “the weather is bad” and the result (Y) is “I won’t go out.”
ので can also be used to give a reason for an action that has already been completed:
昨日、天気が悪かったので、外に出かけませんでした。
(Yesterday, the weather was bad, so I didn’t go out.)
In this case, ので is used to explain the reason for an action that has already been completed (not going out).
