Japanese Vocabulary: 二

Meaning: two, 2 

kanji 二 (ni, futatsu) means “two” and is the number 2 in Japanese.

  2. 二の二倍は四だ。 Two times two is four.  
  3. 二人は公認の仲だ The couple’s relationship is widely acknowledged.  
  4. 二時に家に帰る。 I go back home at two o’clock.  
  5. 二枚の青いタオル two blue towels  
  6. 二粒のサクランボ two cherries  
  7. 十二インチの定規 twelve inch ruler  
  8. 十二月でしょう。 It will probably be December.  
  9. 娘が二人います。 I have two daughters.  
  10. 私は二十歳です。 I’m twenty (20) years old.
