  4. 日本の通貨は円です The Japanese currency is yen.  
  5. 4千円かかりました。 It cost forty dollars ($40). > It cost thirty euros (€30)  
  6. お会計は、千円です。 The bill is one thousand yen.  
  7. この靴は1万円です。 These shoes are ten thousand yen.  
  8. この靴は1万円です。 These shoes are ten thousand yen.  
  9. 一キロで三百円です。 A dollar fifty a pound ($1.50/lb). They’re 2.3 Euros a kilo.  
  10. 円の価値が上昇した。 The value of the yen has risen.
