JLPT N5 Vocabulary 出かける【でかける】

Japanese Vocabulary: 出かける

Meaning:”to go out,” “to leave,” or “to set out.”

it is commonly used to describe the action of going out of one’s home or office to do something, such as running errands or going on a trip. This verb is used in the same way as the English verb “to go out.”

 For example, if you wanted to say “I’m going out for a walk,” you could say “散歩に出かける” (さんぽにでかける) in Japanese.

The verb “出かける” is usually written in hiragana as “でかける,” but it can also be written in kanji as “出かける.” The kanji characters used to write “出かける” are “出” (で), which means “to go out,” and “かける” (かける), which is a common verb ending that means “to do.

In the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N5 level, “出かける” is a vocabulary word that you are expected to know.
