それに (sore ni)” is a Japanese conjunction that can be translated to “besides,” “in addition,” or “on top of that.” It is used to introduce a new point or piece of information related to the previous statement or topic being discussed.

  1. それにしようっと! I’m going with that!  
  2. それに、俺、浮気は絶対にしないから。 Besides, I would never (“absolutely would not”) cheat, so (rest easy, etc).  
  3. それに何だろう、このせつない気持ちは…。 And what are they, these painful feelings?  
  4. それに、食べ物に困ることも一度もなかった。 And on top of that, we were also never troubled even one time about food.  
  5. 毎朝それに、お線香を上げて、手を合わせる。 Each morning, we offer incense and put our hands together.  
  6. ゴキブリには、六本の足と羽、それに触覚がある。 A cockroach has six legs, wings and antennae.
  7. それに、急にメールなんかして、変な女だと思われるのは嫌だった。 Moreover, she didn’t want to send something like a mail all of a sudden and be thought a weird woman.  
  8. いいね。あの ドーナツに きょうみが あるな。それに して いい? That sounds good. I’m interested (“I have an interest”) in that donut. Can we go with it?  
  9. ここには、それに加えて「流し台」という水が出てくるものが置いてあった。 Here, in addition to those things, there was a thing out of which water comes called a “sink.”
