What does ni naru mean in Japanese grammar JLPT N4

Japanese learners will find this blog post useful for understanding how to use ni naru になる This is a great introduction to using Japanese phase and some of the nuances that are important to know when trying to communicate with others.

ni naru になる means Change the condition to… , become to…. Structure as following. 

1.Noun になる。2.ADJ-い→くなる。3.ADJ-な→になる。For the example : 1.私は将来、先生になります。I will be a teacher in the future. 2.彼女の顔が赤くなった。Her face turned red. 3. 静かになりました。It became quiet.

How to use ni naru in Japanese

In basic Japanese there are 3 ways to use ni naru になる

1.Noun +になる。 

Noun 1 は Noun 2 になる。

Example

  1. 山田さんは先生になりしした。Mr. Yamada became a teacher

山田さん = Noun 1

先生  = Noun 2

This sentence mean Mr. Yamada’s job is changed to teacher.

About Season changes or nature changes such as the arrival of summer also use “naru. For example, 夏になりました。 which means “it has become summer” in English. will be “Summer has come”

2. Change い-adjective form い形容詞

暑い+なる → 暑く なる      become hotter

安い +なる → 安く なる  become cheaper

3. Change な-adjective form な形容詞

有名+になる → 有名になる。Become famous.

静か+になる → 静かになる。Be quiet.
